Institute of Health Innovations & Outcomes Research
Improved care delivery through epidemiology, statistics and laboratory trials
We examine all levels of healthcare delivery, from patient-provider interactions to federal policy regulations, and contribute to developing clinical practice improvements, reducing disparities and healthcare costs.
Our team consists of a broad range of health services researchers including physicians, nurses, psychologists, economists, IT programmers, biostatisticians, and public health professionals. We use mixed methodologies and the latest data analytical tools to develop innovative interventions and assess outcomes related to a wide variety of medical conditions such as cancer, heart failure, diabetes, pulmonary disease and kidney disease, as well as substance abuse and other leading health problems.
We collaborate across disciplines and in various real-life settings to answer a breadth of healthcare delivery issues, such as reducing hospital readmissions, reducing unnecessary medical care, and improving quality of life for patients with chronic medical conditions.
